Shipping Information
I deliberately choose suppliers located in the USA, and they charge their own shipping costs which are generally not included in the purchase price of the product. And I generally only take orders for shipping within the USA.
However, you may occasionally see products with outrageous shipping costs when viewing a product on the Printify store prior to adding them to your cart.
For example, here is how the shipping cost displayed for candles:
The #1 reason this happens is that you are using VPN (Virtual Private Network) when using the internet. When VPN is active, it assigns you a virtual IP address that's different from your actual physical IP address in order to keep your actual IP address safe from trackers, hackers and so forth. A VPN assures your privacy while browsing and using the internet. However! Your VPN address may end up being anywhere in the world!
Since the product is not yet in your cart, the app doesn't know your precise billing address. So it makes the next best educated guess and uses your IP address. If your new VPN IP address is overseas or in a different country, it calculates shipping based on that!
So if you see an unreasonable shipping fee, add the item to your cart and fill out the shipping info. On the next screen you will see the form for payment processing and you will see the correct shipping cost:
